I now believe God exists – Majid MichaelBy Majid Michael

I stumbled on this, and thought you might also want to read.

Ghanaian movie icon, Majid Michael, says he now believes in the existence of God and had been a fool all the while to have thought in the contrary.
Micheal who said he had been an agnostic/atheist revealed he has had an epiphany and now believes that a God, ultimate designer of all things exists and is very much alive.

The actor took to the social media to reveal this, stating that the realization of God’s existence just hit him.

The ‘Forbidden Fruit’ actor wrote: “Lord God I have never spoken to you. But now I want to say…how do you do? You see God, they told me you didn’t exist and like a fool I believed all this. Last night from standing outside, I saw your sky and I figured right then they had told me a lie.

“Had I taken time to see the things you made I’d have known they weren’t calling a spade a spade. I wonder God if you’ll take my hand. Somehow I feel that U’d understand. Funny I had to come to this hellish place before I had time to see your face.

“Well I guess there isn’t much more to say but I’m sure glad God I met you today. Like the zero hour will soon be here but I’m not afraid since I know you are near. The signal… well…God I’ll have to go. I like you lots I want you to know. Looks like this will be a horrible fight who knows, I may come to your house tonight.

“Though I wasn’t friendly to you before I wonder God if U’ll wait at your door. Look I’m crying, I’m shedding tears I’ll have to go now God, goodbye…. Strange…now, since I met you, I’m not afraid to die . #LEADERSHIP.

IS THE UN A TOOTLESS BULLDOG? - PICS OF SYRIAN REFUGES SEEMS TO SUGGEST SO.

These images of Syrian refuges gotten from Reuters news site is a very pathetic one, that makes one wonder why it's so big a deal for the United Nation to go into Syria, take charge and restore order and peace so that Syrians can have their country back and live a honorable and decent life.

Many people are of the opinion that, instead of looking for countries that will accept these Syrians that fled Syria because of the Syrian war, the United Nation should have moved in and get things sorted out even it means fighting to depose Assad in like manner as Saddam Hussein.

This school of though believe that if the UN is indeed policeman of the world, they should be able to deal with any leader who is publicly deemed problem. imagine the number of deaths caused by the Syrian war all because President Assad refused to step down or agree to a dialogue with the rebels.

Go through this picture and tell us what you think of the Syrian war and whether or not the UN has become a tootles bulldog? your views and comment is very important.

The ongoing Syrian war has created a serious refuge crisis that may redefine the concept of what the United Nation as a body stands for.

Queen Rania of Jordan calls ISIS outlaws but insist Injustice contributes to extremism.

Queen Rania
The beautiful and elegant wife of  King Abdullah Bin Al Hussein of Jordan, Queen Rania told CNN reporter Christiana Amanpour that the ISIS fighters are not true Muslims, hence the reason they are called outlaws within the region, insisting that they are outsiders and not an inclusive of the Islamic faith.  The Kuwait born queen said that ISIS as an ideology will outlive the current ISIS fighters as there are people who are sympathetic to their cause.

Speaking further, the Jordanian queen said, there are a lot of injustice been experienced around the world, which somehow has contributed to the rise in extremism.

She ended by saying she feared they world may never be safe for children like her daughters especially if the issue of world security is not addressed.

Her alluding to injustice as one of the reason for the rise in terrorism didn't quit go down well with some observers, who believes she sounded a bit like an ordinary Arab man on the street of Afghanistan who would quickly blame the west, especially America for the problem of insecurity in the middle east, and the world in general.

What do you think? do you agree with the queen that injustice is one of the reasons for the rise in  extremism? share your views.

This post is causing ripples on the internet - Igbo Vs Delta Igbo

I always get stupid comments/questions as "Neddy, shey you be Delta? Why you dey carry Igbo matter for head? You be Delta-Igbo not Igbo".
Honestly, am fed up of the stupid thinking of both the so-called "Delta-Igbos" and the "main Igbos".
Foolish people, all of them!
When a Fulani man is from Gombe state in north-east Nigeria, he doesn't say, 'am Gombe-Fulani' or 'am north-east Fulani'.
Likewise, a Yoruba from Kwara or Kogi, would never say, 'I'm middle-belt Yoruba', he just says "omo o'dua lemi".
These people claim brotherhood beyond the imaginary boundaries of state and regions but encourage you to divide yourselves along those lines and you all in unmatched foolishness agree to be divided and even fight to be addressed as such.
Please, Nzeogwu, yes Major Chukwuma Kaduna Nzeogwu, is from Okpanam in present day Delta state(then mid west before it was in Bendel). Okpanam, is a neighboring town to mine, Ibusa(anglicized Igbo uzo). However, it is well known that his coup was led by an Igbo man, being himself.
During the genocide, Asaba, another town bordering mine in the present day Delta state, was deprived of men, they were all gathered and slaughtered. Why? Simple, they were Igbos.
While you run about claiming Delta-Igbo, other Nigerians know you as Igbo and should the tribal card be played, would treat you as one, but when they want to deceive you to get something from you, they say you are Delta-Igbo, and you foolishly swallow their crap. Dumb-wits!
Those ones across the Niger always want to feel like heroes of the genocide, thinking they were the only ones who paid the price of lives to keep this contraption breathing.
All because of things told them by others as the Yoruba led press and the Hausa/Fulani led governments.
Igbos, think, i say, think!
When the troubles in Ukraine started, why was Crimea annexed by Russia? I'll tell you, because they were native Russians. That is the oyibo wey una dey worship, still clinging on to tribal sentiments and brotherhood across borders, into another country.
Let's not even mention Israelis or Arabs, or even Italians and Irish people, they all regardless of their passports and the country it carries, know and accept first, that they are natives of their tribes. Should there be need for whatever, they already know whom to side with in such events.
Albeit, the Igbos fight and deny their selves to the benefit of their enemies and to their common detriment.
The Urhobo, Ijaw, Itshekiri, Isoko and all these riverine tribes in Delta state see me as Igbo, ask Ifeanyi Okowa, the current governor of the state, he will attest, they think we don't belong with them.
We in turn distance ourselves from our cousins across the bridge and are just forming "anioma" (which isn't in any way bad if the reason is to remind us of our roots and not to cut those ties).
Somehow, ours is far better, as the population is split 60-40 in favor of people thinking as i do.
The Ikwerres, are a lost people totally.
Next time, when i talk about Igbo things, if you have nothing meaningful to contribute, just shut the hole in your face and say nothing, don't even exercise your writing skills in waste, because i know my roots and I'm not even faintly ashamed of it.
I will be addressed as Delta-Igbo only when we begin to have and adress people as middlebelt-yoruba and northeast-fulani.
Daalu!

10 PRESIDENTIAL AIR FLEET IS WASTEFUL AND INSENSITIVE - BUHARI ACCUSED

One of the PAF

The Saturday Punch today reported that the presidency has in its wing ten Presidential aircrafts which has so far gulped about N5bn to maintain in the last 15 months, according to exclusive documents the Newspaper obtained from a presidential source
According to the document, the Presidency put the amount of money so far released for the Presidential Air Fleet since the inception of the current administration in May 2015 till date in the region of N5bn.
However aviation industry experts have a different view, they believe the Federal Government may have spent about N19.9bn on the 10-aircraft PAF in the last 15 months of President Muhammadu Buhari’s administration
The estimated projections of expenses made in line with the cost of running and maintaining airplanes according to these aviation experts is about $65.13m (N19.9bn), using the official exchange rate of N305.5 per dollar, may have been spent on the 10-aircraft presidential fleet between May 29, 2015 and August 29, 201
The 10 presidential air fleet inherited from the former President Goodluck Jonathan’s administration is the second largest airline in the country, coming after Arik Air which has 23 aircraft in its fleet.
The 10 presidential air fleet according to the presidential source are: Boeing Business Jet (Boeing 737-800 or AirForce One), one Gulfstream 550, one Gulfstream V (Gulfstream 500), two Falcons 7X, one Hawker Sidley 4000, two AgustaWestland AW 139 helicopters and two AgustaWestland AW 101 helicopters. Each of the two Falcon 7X jets were purchased in 2010 by the Federal Government for $51.1m, while the Gulfstream 550 costs $53.3m, a former Minister of Information, the late Pro. Dora Akunyili, had said.
The General Secretary, Aviation Round Table, an industry pressure group, Group Captain John Ojikutu, said Buhari needed to reduce the PAF and sell aircraft belonging to most of the Ministries, Departments and Agencies.
He said, “It is high time the Presidency reduced the number of aircraft in that fleet. We can’t be spending our scarce forex to maintain a large fleet of 10 aircraft.”\
Most aviation experts and prominent Nigerians have condemned the large presidential air fleet maintained by the APC led Buhari administration, calling it a wasteful practice, same as they had accused former President, Goodluck Jonathan for.
Amongst those who have spoken out against this wasteful nature of the presidency is a former Governor of old Kaduna State, Alhaji Balarabe Musa, said President Buhari administration “is as wasteful as the administration of former President Goodluck Jonathan.”
Nigeria happens to be one of the few countries with a large PAF.
Most major countries in Europe and Asia maintain two aircraft in their PAF. According to Wikipedia, Japan maintains only two Boeing 747-400 planes in its PAF.
Netherlands government operates only two aircraft, a Fokker 70 and Gulfstream IV to transport the Dutch Royal family and government officials such as the Prime Minister and other ministers.
The Queen of England and the UK’s Prime Ministers often go on British Airways chartered flights for long trips.
Countries like Ghana, Algeria and a host of others in Africa maintain only one aircraft in their PAF.

19 YR OLD ANGELINA JOLIE LOOK ALIKE KILLED FIGHTING ISIS

A 19 year old Angelina Jolie look alike Syrian was killed today defending her country against ISIS. The girl, Asia Ramazan Antar was one of the most famous faces of the fight against ISIS, but now the 19-year-old dubbed the “Kurdish Angelina Jolie” is dead after sacrificing her life to stop a trio of ISIS suicide bombers.
Antar was a soldier with the famed Syrian Kurdish Women’s Protection Units (YPJ), an all-woman force that had been taking the fight to ISIS in the war-torn country. She gained fame for her youthful good looks and her apparent similarity to actress Angelina Jolie, as well as her feminist stance in a region where women are often oppressed.

But Antar’s short life came to an end this week when she stopped a trio of bomb-strapped cars making their way to the Kurdish front lines in Syria. As the Times reported, Antar and her fellow YPJ fighters went on the offensive, taking out two of the cars. The third car was able to get closer to the Kurdish fighters, exploding and killing Asia Ramazan Antar.
“She and her fellows blew up two of them but the last was very close to her when it exploded,” said Commander Shirin Abdullah, a spokeswoman for the YPJ.
Antar had been part of a unit guarding the village of al-Yashli, which remained protected after the ISIS suicide bombing was thwarted.
Asia Ramazan Antar first gained fame in western media for her good looks, but those close to the teenage fighter said there was much more to her life. Antar, who was reportedly forced into marriage as a teenager but divorced after three months, joined the all-women Kurdish military unit in 2014 to free Syrian women from patriarchal domination, the International Business Times reported.
“She always said that her battles against Daesh [ISIS] were battles against the ugliness of their views and to build a better life,” Abdullah said.

Indeed the war against ISIS is ugly, very ugly even as it has claimed  a beautiful life like Asia's. It's heartbroken to see a beautiful girl like Asia fighting a war against evil as against been a a wife or a celebrity like Angelina Jolie.

Just at 17, Asia Ramazan Antar took up arms to fight against the ideologies of the evil called ISIS in other to build a better life, but she lost that battle.

i join her fans around the world to celebrate her courage and take a stand against Islamic terrorism.  May her beautiful soul find peace.

Kindly share your thoughts and leave your comments for the beautiful Asia Ramazan Antar on this page.

No Bus to go to training, no Pitch to train on - John Mikel Obi recounts his Rio Olympic experience.

Mikel displaying the Olympic Bronze Medal
In an interview with Chelsea fc, John Mikel Obi relates his experience at the just concluded Rio Olympics, where the Nigerian team against all odds won bronze medal and concludes despite the ugly experience, the tournament remains his most memorable.
The Chelsea midfielder captained Nigeria to its sole Olympic medal last month, turning in a series of heroic displays to the delight of the nation, eventually helping them beat Honduras 3-2 in the bronze medal match.
Mikel returned to Cobham at the end of the Games, only to then go on full international duty with his country to complete the qualifying campaign for January’s African Cup of Nations, a tournament Nigeria failed to qualify for.
Despite that disappointment, it has been a summer to remember for one of our longest-serving players.
A tough build-up meant the Nigerian footballers only flew into Brazil on the day of its first group match in Manaus, but after coming through a group involving Japan, Sweden and Colombia, they advanced past Denmark in the quarter-finals before being edged out by Germany, going on to beat Honduras to claim the bronze.
Now back at Cobham and training with the squad as we prepare to face Swansea.
Mikel, welcome back. Tell us about the summer…
‘I hadn't played in an Olympics before, I missed out in 2008 in Beijing and in 2012 we didn't qualify for London, so I spoke to the club and got their permission to go. It was an amazing experience to play with the Under-23s and lead the team, being the captain of the nation leading it to Rio. I’m very, very proud.
‘As a footballer you probably only get one opportunity to play in the Olympics, it was a great experience and the Brazilian fans were amazing too. They supported us all the way and wanted us to do well, to make the final. It was one of the best tournaments I've had.’

As the squad’s foremost player and one of only two aged over 23, you must have been something of a father figure to your younger team-mates?

‘Yes, it was amazing. Leading the team not just in football but athletics, basketball, everything, was amazing for me. What an honour to be able to do that, and to represent my country is something I’m always proud of.
‘The boys were absolutely amazing and I hope to see them all playing at the top level soon.’
The team had problems in the build-up, to do with financing. What happened in your training camp in the US?
‘It wasn't a great experience in the build-up in Atlanta. There was no food for the guys, no bus to go to training, no pitch to train on.
‘Coming into the team I tried to help as much as I can. The boys had suffered for two years, working very hard trying to play in Rio. I wanted to help as much as I could and they all say they owe me. It’s a great achievement that we managed to go there and win a medal.’
Your relationship with Samson Siasia, the coach, must have helped?
‘We have known each other for a long time. We know how to communicate with each other and it made for a good atmosphere with the rest of the team on the training pitch. We tried to calm the players, make them see the bigger picture and not let external things influence us.
That first game against Japan was a roller coaster. What happened around that 5-4 win?
‘It was a crazy one! We just came off the plane two or three hours before the game, went to the hotel, put our bags down, ate and headed straight to the stadium. Not the typical match preparation. So it was a crazy game, lots of goals, and one we were very happy to win though. To go from there and win the second game helped us settle into the tournament.’
And you found the net with a tidy finish against Denmark in the quarter-final…
‘I always do when I play for the national team! I tend to push a bit further forward and express myself a little bit more, so there is more responsibility to create chances, and if I can get one or two goals here and there it’s great.’
Defeat to Germany and then the bronze medal match against Honduras. Where does it sit in comparison to your other career achievements?
‘It ranks up there. Obviously the Champions League is the Champions League and winning the African Nations and Premier League are massive, but this is up there with those trophies. I can’t express how proud and happy I am to have achieved this.
‘The reception at home was great. The Nigerian people were very happy, it was the only medal we won and they were very proud.

NORTH KOREA FIRES THREE MISSILES WHILE THE G-20 IS MEETING IN CHINA - THE ASSOCIATED PRESS

Rocket Launch from North Korea
Report from Seoul, South Korea, has indicated that North Korea fired three ballistic missiles off its east coast Monday, according to a military source, in a show of force timed to the G-20 economic summit in China.

The provocative action of the North, which is coming just days after the G-20 Summit began in the city of Hangzhou in eastern China, is the latest in what seems to be a tradition to the North Koreans, who usually take advantage of a gathering of this sort to engage in missile and rocket tests.

China is the North's only major ally, but ties between the neighbors have frayed amid a string of nuclear and missile tests and what many outsiders see as other provocations in recent years.

South Korea's Joint Chiefs of Staff said in a statement that the three missiles, launched from the western North Korean town of Hwangju, flew across the country before splashing in the waters off its east coast. Officials did not describe the range of the missiles.

The launch comes four days before the 68th anniversary of the founding of North Korea's government, and days after South Korean and U.S. troops ended annual joint summertime military drills — which North Korea regularly describes as a dress rehearsal for invasion.
