The pandemonium that was caused by the spread of the dreaded Ebola virus may have died down but the scare left on some of us, especially the families who lost loved ones, friends and family members are still very fresh. I still remember how Nigerians were so afraid of one another for fear of been infected that any public place was considered high risk zone, even in churches, pastors stopped laying of hands to pray for the sick and discouraged their congregation from handshake during services. But today all that is history, thanks to the sacrifice of some people, some of who are not alive to tell the success story of combating effectively the once dreaded menace. |
93 days is based on the true story of men and women who risked their
lives and paid the prize for us to be alive today. The docudrama film which stars Bimbo
Akintola, Bimbo Manuel and veteran Hollywood Actor Danny Glover will be
premiered at the Rock Cathedral House on the Rock Church situated along the
highbrow Lekki Epe express road on the 13th of September 2016.
According to our source, the red carpet event will have in
attendance cream de la cream of the Nigerian corporate, business and diplomatic
community plus some government functionaries. This type of gathering the source
said is very necessary as a sign of support to a film that celebrates the
heroic achievements of those who sacrificed their lives and also to celebrate Nigeria’s’
achievement in containing such a dreadful virus.
It will be recalled that the Church led by the metropolitan Pastor
Paul Adefarasin and his beautiful wife Pastor Ifeanyi Adefarasin hosted such a
gathering last year when it premiered in collaboration with the US embassy
‘Selma’ another movie that featured as the lead actor Nigerian born British
actor David Oyelowo.
We say thank you to Pastor Paul and His congregation for celebrating
Nigeria and promoting a good cause. By the way you are free to attend the
premier as about four thousand seats are free on a first come first serve.
